Good Vs. Evil
In last class, we were put into different groups and was to bring up ideas and information on a certain type of subjects. This was my group who had Good vs. Evil. One of the biggest idea that I want to focus on was the news and media. For the example, I will use the shooting at Sandy Hook as an example. The good guy will apparently be the cops, teachers, EMS, and other people who was involved to help save the students. The bad guy would have been Adam Lanza. Similarly to writing, the good guy and the bad guy will have to face off at the end of the story and one will have to win. When the good guy win, he would always be remember like in spider-man or superman; the the bad guy is never seen or heard from again. But is it the same in the real world? That the question. to understand this, please look at the video I am about to post.

How To Stop Mass Shootings (Media Portraying Shooters As Celebrities)

  1. It's really interesting to see what you picked up on. I've never noticed that before! You're right about the opposite being true and I think that's because of two big reasons. The first involving the idea that we watch, read, or listen to fictional ideas that we want to be real or we dream of. The second is about how the media knows that they have to pick exciting stories that pick up interest. Sadly, the viewers interest lays with the bad guys most of the time even if they don't like these criminals.
